Social Marginalisation

Social marginalization has to do with different aspects in human life, not being granted the same right to housing or to living in any neighborhood you would like to, not having the same access to education or other social services, not being able to benefit from welfare services or not being treated with the same importance in case of medical emergency.

  • Limiting access to education, shelters, or health care
  • Lack of education leads to difficult access of job opportunities and frustration rises
  • Access to health care is major in post-conflict scenarios (destruction of infrastructure increases death tolls)
  • Lack of access to recreational activities limits opportunities to form social bonds
  • Level of opportunity for and social mobility of young people born in low socio-economic households decrease.
